Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 garlic clove, minced

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

4 burger buns

Lettuce leaves (for serving)

Sliced tomatoes (for serving)

Optional: mayonnaise or aioli for topping

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken patties.

Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns in another skillet or on a grill until lightly golden.

Assemble the burgers by placing a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with lettuce, tomato slices, and a dollop of mayonnaise or aioli if desired.

Place the top half of the bun on each burger and serve immediately.
