Ingredients

1 lb (450g) flank steak, sliced thin against the grain

1 tablespoon soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 red bell pepper, sliced into strips

1 green bell pepper, sliced into strips

1 medium onion, sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, grated

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

Cooked white rice or noodles for serving

Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well, cover, and let it marinate for at least 15-30 minutes.

Prepare the Stir-Fry: Heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Cook the Steak: Add the marinated steak to the pan in a single layer. Sear it for 2-3 minutes without stirring to get a good char, then stir-fry for another 2 minutes until cooked through. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.

Sauté Vegetables: In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Toss in the sliced onions, red and green bell peppers, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender but still crisp.

Combine & Season: Return the cooked steak to the pan with the vegetables. Add sesame oil, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes to combine the flavors.

Serve: Serve hot over a bed of cooked white rice or noodles. Garnish with chopped green onions for an extra burst of flavor.
