Ingredients

1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

1/2 cup BBQ sauce (preferably smoky)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Small corn or flour tortillas

1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

1 small red onion, finely diced (for garnish)

Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, chili powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Add the beef slices and toss until they're well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours.

Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and set aside.

Cook the Beef: Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer; you may need to do this in batches. Sear the beef for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.

Combine and Glaze: Once the beef is cooked, drizzle the garlic butter over it and stir to coat. Cook for an additional minute to let the flavors meld.

Assemble the Tacos: Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or directly over a flame until pliable. Fill each tortilla with a generous portion of the garlic butter honey BBQ beef.

Garnish: Top each taco with chopped cilantro and diced red onion for a fresh crunch. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
