Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1 medium onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon olive oil

4 sandwich buns (preferably brioche or whole grain)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and green bell pepper, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.

Add the ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 7-8 minutes.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, Cajun seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Mix well and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes, letting all the flavors meld together. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

While the chicken mixture is simmering, toast the sandwich buns on a separate skillet or pan until lightly golden.

Once the mixture is ready, spoon it generously onto each toasted bun.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley or cilantro before serving.

Serve hot and enjoy your Cajun chicken sloppy joes!
