Ingredients

1 lb (450g) skinless salmon fillet, cut into bite-sized cubes

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cornstarch

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Preparation: In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. This will be the coating for the salmon bites.

Coat the Salmon: Take the salmon cubes and gently toss them in the seasoned flour mixture until all pieces are evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.

Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir until well combined and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for about 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.

Fry the Salmon: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the coated salmon bites in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches). Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Use tongs to flip them over carefully.

Glaze the Salmon: Once the salmon bites are cooked, reduce the heat to low, and pour the honey garlic sauce over the crispy bites, gently tossing to coat them well in the sauce.

Serve: Plate the honey garlic salmon bites and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. These bites can be served over a bed of rice, as an appetizer, or enjoyed on their own!
