8 oz penne pasta

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

2 cups fresh asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

1 cup mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button mushrooms work best)

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

    Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
