Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine or linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they soften.

Combine: Return the shrimp to the skillet and add the cooked pasta. Toss everything together, adding a little reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary.

Garnish & Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty flavor.
