Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon ginger, minced

1 cup finely chopped cabbage (Napa or green cabbage)

1 carrot, grated

2 green onions, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon rice vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

20 wonton wrappers

Oil for frying (vegetable or peanut)

Sriracha or sweet chili sauce for serving

Fresh cilantro and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, chopped cabbage, grated carrot, green onions, rice vinegar, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Assemble the Wontons: Lay a wonton wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place a small spoonful (about 1 tablespoon) of the chicken mixture in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over to create a triangle (or any desired shape), and press to seal tightly. Repeat until all the filling is used.

Fry the Wontons: In a deep pan or pot, heat oil over medium-high heat (about 350°F/175°C). Carefully place a few wontons in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Assemble the Tacos: Once the wontons are cool enough to handle, place them upright in a taco stand (or just on a platter). Fill each wonton taco with a bit of shredded cabbage, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, a drizzle of sriracha or sweet chili sauce, and garnish with fresh cilantro.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately as a delightful party appetizer or snack. Enjoy the crunch and the burst of Asian flavors in every bite!
